A description of the guild ranks, in ascending order, and what is required to advance in the guild.
1. Cub
When an Enkidukai first joins the guild, he is given the rank of Cub. Cubs are still "testing out" the guild. They are explained the rules, regulations and expectations. After a few weeks, if the Cub decides to stay, they may be promoted to Kin.
2. Kin
Kin have shown true interest in the guild. They have demonstrated obedience, fealty, kindness and friendship and expressed an interest in joining an Order.
3. Trusted Kin
Enkidukai who have become a part of regular guild life advance to the level of Trusted Kin. They show a willingness to contribute to the well-being of the guild and take active part in guild activities.
4. High Kin
Enkidukai who have chosen an Order are awarded the rank of High Kin. Their focus turns to studying and learning within their respective Order. At this point a member might be given a guildhouse key.
5. Claw
Claws are "full members" of the guild. They may invite new members and recommend members for promotion. Claws may be promoted to Matriarch or Sentinel status and may ask for permission to organize and lead their own Order, pending approval from the Matriarch, Sentinel, and Elder Claw.
6. Matriarch
The Matriarch is the "mother" of the guild. Kind, caring, patient and understanding, the Matriarch is always ready to assist new Cubs or any members who need her help. Guild members should seek out the Matriarch for any complaints or concerns they might have.
7. Sentinel
If the Matriarch is the mother, the Sentinel is the guild's father - strong, disciplined and protective of his family. The Sentinel is always ready to defend members of the Lair and acts with integrity when doing so. Diplomacy is the name of the Sentinel's game: he knows how to diffuse a situation with words and compromise before resorting to physical means.
8. Elder Claw
The Elder Claw is the acting leader of the guild. She oversees the Orders, appoints members to Matriarch and Sentinel positions, helps organize guild events, and deals with public relations. She is always open to new ideas and loves hearing from new members.
